The Bureau of Tourism (BOT), under the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment, and Tourism (MNRET), hosted an initial meeting on August 16 with MNRET’s Global Environment Facility Ridge-to-Reef (R2R) International Waters (GEF R2R IW) Program and the Palau Conservation Society (PCS) to discuss a new initiative called Green Boots along with development and guidelines.
The Green Boots initiative aims to protect and conserve Palau’s terrestrial ecosystems by establishing and implementing environmental friendly guidelines to promote a sustainable terrestrial tourism industry.
The meeting aimed to discuss partnership and collaboration among MNRET’s BOT and R2R Program with PCS. (PR)
