DayDream Tours donates to the Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC) towards its 2017 Arts and Tides Calendar in support of efforts to raise people’s awareness for protecting the environment.
DayDream General Manager, Mr. Hiroshi Akino shares that he and DayDream tours are impressed by the attention that the Arts & Tide calendar has received island wide. Moreover, he adds that the unique idea of using the art contest for a tide calendar is not only educational for students but also helpful for their company’s diving services and practical for planning snorkeling and diving trips with their guests.

Mr. Akino finds that the art contest for the calendar is a great opportunity for children to stop and think seriously about the environment, not only for children but for everyone in the community. The Arts and Tides calendar also becomes an enlightening activity that helps raise people’s awareness of the importance of protecting the environment.
DayDream Tour has continually sponsored Ebiil Society and has taken part in the Japanese Diving Association’s Annual Beach Cleanup and expresses that they will continually support many other environmental projects in Palau.
DayDream Palau was established in 1994. In 2010, they expanded to include their liveaboard called “RYOMA”. Their mission is to introduce Palau’s great nature to their guests through diving. They will strive to continually be conscious with protecting their environment during their activities.
Donations from DayDream and other agencies make it possible for PICRC to continue to use the Arts & Tides Calendar to educate students, communities, and visitors about Palau’s unique environment and the need to conserve it for the future. The donations made will go towards the cost of preparation, production, and prizes for the winners. Contributions can be claimed toward tax write-off at the end of the year.
