“The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.”  Joseph Campbell

Life is all habits and reflects.  Think of the morning routine.  It is mostly done without you being fully present. It’s been  programmed into your subconsoous.  Its like driving a car, you don’t think about it but you step on the gas to move, you just do it.

Being alone without distractions will be a time to think.

I love my God and my relationship with him.  I’m grateful to how he leads me to a dark cave where I see that change is inevitable. I also love science. I’m glad science gave us penicillin, pain killers and surgery to heal. I’m the type of Christian that prays then start walking, swim, or row to the shore. I pray for the rain then go prepare the soil to receive the rain. We are his divine partners.  Think of the time he fed five thousands.  He needed the boy’s lunch.  He told Peter to go to the sea, catch a fish, opened it’s mouth, take the coin and go pay their tax. When He raised Lazarus from the death, he asked some guys to roll the stone away then he called him,  “Lazarus come out.”

He could have told Lazarus walk through the stone ☺️. I’ve always thought that if Jesus just said, “Come out” all the Graves opened and all the dead walked out. People will be petrified to see dead relatives and friends walking in the streets. It would be chaotic. Lol

To enter the proverbial cave is to trust that you’ll see what you need to see. You’ll hear what you need to hear.  You’ll be free to ask questions and not be judged.

I asked myself why I feel this or that way. What’s causing me to judge others. Then comes the answer in the form of a question that can be hard swallow – What makes you think you’re better or  superior than others? The answer is in the scripture and science.  Self-acceptance is a psychological process and  trusting in God’s Word.

It’s being alone in the dark cave that you will see that in Christ you are loved and accepted, secure, and significant.  He gave you gifts and talents that match your temperament – so no comparison. In Christ you are more than enough.
