Palau’s former Ambassador to Japan, Masao Salvador, passed away at the age of 68 in the Philippines, in May of this year.

The Office of Vice President Uduch Sengebau-Senior acknowledged former Ambassador Masao’s contributions to the Republic and expressed condolences to his family on his untimely passing.

Late Masao Salvador was appointed Ambassador of the Republic Palau to Japan in 1999 by former President Kuniwo Nakamura.

He was the first Palauan to obtain a Master’s Degree in Public health and served as a role model to Palauans, according to the statement from the Office of the Vice President.

The funeral for the late former Ambassador Masao Salvador will be held this Sunday, June 26 at the Santos Borja Chapel and will be buried in Choll, Ngaraard State.
