It is confirmed that four candidates will run for the Office of Governor of Ngarchelong State.  At the close of business day yesterday, May 30, 2022, the last day to file a petition for the Office of Governor of Ngarchelong State, four candidates submitted their petitions meeting the deadline, incumbent Governor Richard Ngiratrang running for another term, current legislature Speaker Dwight Ngiraibai, former Governor Browny Salvador and a retired US military Curtis Elobt.

With four candidates, a primary election to select the top two will need to take place before the general election in August.  Therefore, the primary election will have to take place at least 30 days before the General Election.

The General Election of Ngarchelong State for the Office of Governor is scheduled for August, which occurs every four years will take place at the same time this year.
