July 21, 2016 (Koror) Trust Corporation Co.  a renewable energy systems provider based in Japan, presented 100 mini solar lighting systems to the Republic towards equipping households with the most need for such systems.

The portable LED systems are convertible as socket bulbs and as flashlights with remote control capabilities and maximum 12 hours of lighting. Also highlighted at the presentation were “all in one” outdoor solar panels with lights, battery, and solar panel all built in one unit. The units may be mounted as street lights or home exterior lights that require very little installation requirements and feature an eco mode sensor system that helps lower battery energy use.

Minister Kuartei on behalf of President Remengesau, greeted the group and expressed Palau’s gratitude to the Japan Embassy and the company executives for realizing Palau’s renewable energy goals and presenting such innovative energy systems to the pepole of Palau.

Joining Minister Kuartei were Foreign Affairs Director, Gustav Aitaro, Energy Office Director, Greg Decherong, Energy Grants Coordinator Tutii Chilton.

The Trust Corporation Executives were Board Chairman, Masakazu Hatanaka; Director Shoji Hatanaka; Projects Manager, Koji Makita; with Chiba Prefecture Congressman, Mamoru Suzuki whom is Japan’s Energy Administration Ambassador.
