(Koror) Charges of Assault in the Second Degree were filed on August 23, 2016 against Javitz Kiep for assaulting a Bangladeshi national with a baseball bat.

According to police affidavit, Javits Kiep entered K.I.T Store in Meyuns, Koror on July 24, 2016 and attacked Hasan Ahamad with a baseball ball, breaking his arm and causing cut to his head.
In the report, Mr. Kiep admitted to coming to the store and hitting Mr. Ahamad with bat. According to him, he had had prior argument with Mr. Ahamad and returned couple hours later with baseball bat.
According to Kiep, he brought the bat for protection. [/restrict]
