June 12, 2017 (Koror, Palau) First time held in Palau, Konqer Palau is pronounced a success.  With over 200 participants and equal number of supporters, the two-day event exceeded many expectations.

People were signing up to the day of the event and the total number of signed up participants reached 200.

The event builds on the idea of “wellness through play” and  push people to conquer the course and themselves.

Konqer Peleliu course, a grueling trek through jungle, limestone terrain, and caves challenged the teams including off-island participants to push themselves and each other to conquer the course.  The teams successfully conquered Konqer Peleliu.

Koror 15 Sprint obstacle course, included a kayak course, a race around the edges of Long Island Park before the participants undergo the 15 sprint obstacle course which involved climbing, jumping, crawling, rope walking and going through other man-made obstacles that tested individuals and teams to their limits.

The event was organized by Palau Visitors Authority, officiated by Kaz Endo and his team from Guam and sponsored by many local businesses, corporations and agencies.

Due to the success of the event, it is envisioned to be a regular annual event that would bring visitors and locals together for a healthy community and visitor experience. [/restrict]
