With the support of Minister Tmetuchel of Ministry of Human Resource, Culture, Tourism, and Development, Airai State Government – Historical & Cultural Department and Tourism Department has partnered up with Airai Elementary School (AES) to teach the 8th graders stories related to the Airai State historical sites and other Palauan legends. The students record what they have learned through arts.
The Class of 2025 is the first class to pilot this project at AES. Next school year, the sixth, the seventh, and the eighth graders will be part of this program.
The main goal of this project is capture the interest of our young generation in learning our historical heritage through arts and storytelling.
