The Ministry of Health and Human Services (MHHS) informs the public of the following updates on testing, quarantine and isolation in Palau:
• One hundred and seventeen (117) in-bound travelers who arrived today, November 15, 2021, tested negative on day 1 of testing conducted at Palau International Airport. They have been released into restriction of movement (ROM) before undergoing final testing on day 5. MHHS kindly reminds all travelers on ROM to wear their masks and wrist bands at all times, follow other mandates on the ROM orders, and maintain physical distance from others, particularly vulnerable persons, unvaccinated children under 12 years of age, the elderly and other individuals with weakened immune systems. Community members are also asked to support these regulations (i.e., avoid close physical contact and/or wear masks indoors with individuals on ROM).
• One hundred and sixty-nine (169) individuals participated in community testing for COVID-19 conducted in Peleliu (NOV 12) and at the Ernguul Park/Global Village in Koror (NOV 13). All results were negative.
MHHS continues to thank all guests and residents for their support and commitment.
