“I believe 2018 will be better.  Asiana will be coming back. We are now in discussion with various airlines.  There’s possible increase in number of flights for Delta.  We are also in midst of talks with Silk Air, Air Niugini and Turkey airline, ” expressed Minister Obichang.

“Yes, we had a drop in visitor arrivals from China but I am believe that 2018 will be good,” he added.

Around the region, particularly Guam, United and Delta either are stopping flights to Guam from certain source countries and cities or reducing frequencies.

Chinese government recently reminded its travel agencies not to promote destinations that are not in their approved list.  Reminder that Vatican City and Palau are not on that list of approved destinations. [/restrict]
