(Koror, Palau)  Car accidents are becoming common sites here in Koror as well as around Babeldaob.  Whether travelling on the road or parked in a parking area, the chance of getting hit by another vehicle is increasing as seen by some of the cases being filed by the Office of Attorney General.

In a recent case, Attorney General filed 2 counts of Property Damage in the Second Degree against Kobe Billy Graham for running into 3 parked vehicles at T-Dock in Meketii, Koror.  Mr. Graham admitted to falling asleep at the wheel of his car due to not sleeping for a whole day and a night.

In June of this year, criminal property damages charges were filed against one Burton Tomei Solang for also running into 6 parked vehicles in Meyuns.

Every weekend, at least 3 or 5 vehicles are involved in accidents along the main road and yesterday morning, a silver van that looked like it was involved in an accident was seen in front of the Ministry of Education entrance.   Despite visible number of accidents seen, very few are reported on the weekly police blotters.
