In recognition of the upcoming National Youth Day, Ngaraard Elementary School, 7th and 8th graders took part in a coastal clean up organized and hosted by Madrengebuked former President Tommy E. Remengesau Jr., Ngirameketii former Minister Elbuchel Sadang, Delegate Gibson Kanai and Governor Sharp Sakuma. Together with NES Principal Daily Ulitch, the NES students collected rubbish along the coast lines of Choll, Ngaraard, filling up to 32 large trash bags in just few hours The clean up activity featured guest speaker Dr. Yimnang Golbuu of PICRC and his staff. Dr. Golbuu presented to the students the value of marine ecosystem as well as harmful effects of plastic pollution. The students really learned a lot from Dr. Golbuu and from the participation of the clean up along the shorelines was a great educational and learning experience for the students, ” remarked Principal Ulitch.
