The Behavioral Health Council and the Division of Behavioral Health, together donated more than $8,000 worth of food items to assist families that are impacted by the COVID-19 response on May 14th.

These food items include sacks of rice, various canned goods, as well as boxes of soy sauce and salad oil.

During this time of May, the Behavioral Health Council usually host a carnival for the kids to commemorate National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the council chose to donate food this year.

The various foods will then be given to the Ministry of Education (MOE) so that they can evenly distribute the food to families impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

Currently, MOE has conducted surveys on families affected by the COVID-19 crisis. The items will be distributed by school principals to the affected families.
