On August 14, 2020, the Melusch-Dil beauty shop gifted the Palau Conservation Society (PCS) with a generous donation of $100 in support of the efforts to integrate marine conservation into elementary school education. Pictured to the right is Administration and Development Intern Emengel Singich receiving the donation.
With the strong support of corporate partnerslikeMelusch-Dil, PCS was able to provide 200 students with the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the global fight against marine plastic pollution in 2019. This latest donation will go towards PCS’s new children’s book titled “Grandpa and the Baby Sea Turtles” that focuses on climate change and gender. Copies of our latest children’s book, written in both English and Palauan language, remain available for purchase at our office located at the second floor of Baier a Maiberel for $20 each.
Melusch-Dil first opened in June of 2008 and continues to operate today as the original one-stop beauty salon and spa in Palau, offering various services ranging from hair and beautification to skin care and massage services. Owner and First Lady of the Republic Mrs. Debbie Remengesau is an active member of PCS, in which she donates a total of $1,200 annually through monthly allotments from the beauty shop. Despite the ongoing pandemic, Melusch-Dil has been able to cope with its effects and remain open for service. The shop is open from 10am-7pm daily.
The PCS Board of Directors and staff are grateful to Melusch-Dil for their yearly commitment. Any company or interested individuals wishing to make a donation is encouraged to contact the PCS office at 488-3993, follow our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/PCSPalau, or visit our website www.palauconservation.org.
