Koror, Palau – David A. Orrukem was elected as the new chairman of the Palau Conservation Society (PCS) board on July 8.

Orrukem is leading the board along with newly elected Vice Chairman Mario Katosang and with Sinton Soalablai as Secretary and Elbuchel Sadang as Treasurer.

The full roster of nine also includes: Adolph Demei, Dr. Minoru Ueki, Faustina Rehuher-Marugg, Sandra S. Pierantozzi, and TJ Remengesau.

As PCS continues to celebrate its 25th Anniversary as Micronesia’s first, local conservation NGO, the new board looks forward to supporting PCS’ continued work with communities to perpetuate Palau’s tradition of conservation for the economic and social well-being of the present and future generations.
