H.E. Ambassador Wallace M.G. Chow presented a check of $1,000 to support 38th Pacific Islands Bilingual-Bicultural Association (PIBBA) International Conference on Wednesday last week.

The conference will be held on June 17 and 21 in Palau. Chief of DIITT, MOE/President, PIBBA International, Mrs. Janet Ebil Orrukem, Treasurer, Palau Language Commission, Mr. Huan Anastacio and Dean of Academic Affairs, PCC Mr., Robert Ramarui received the donation on behalf of PIBBA Conference Organizing Committee.

PIBBA is a non-profit organization and its mission is to promote bilingual-bicultural activities in the Pacific Island areas through the development of policies, dissemination of information, involvement of the community, and encouragement of quality education programs.

Around 150 educators from Hawaii, American Samoa, Saipan, Guam, FSM, Republic of the Marshall Island, and Republic of Palau will gather in Palau to discuss the preservation of Pacific language, culture and tradition.

Ambassador Wallace Chow is delighted to make a slight contribution to donate to PIBBA Conference Organizing Committee and extends his best wishes for a successful upcoming conference. (PR)
