Palau National Scholarship Board has finished reviewing and awarding all the completed applications for this new school year 2025-2026. So far, the Scholarship Board is happy to report that among this year’s recipients are 11 outstanding students who were awarded full scholarships. A recipient of the Palau Full Scholarship must be at least in his or her junior/senior college standing, major in a priority field, maintain full-time enrollment with at least a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher.

Based on these qualifications, PNSB awards the full scholarship according to the amount certified as the financial need of the student. PNSB disburses the first half of the scholarship award in
the beginning of fall semester. The remaining half will be awarded at the beginning of the spring semester provided the student maintains his or her enrollment as proven by the submission of grade reports/transcripts and class schedules.

The Board reports that for this semester (fall 2025), PNSB has awarded over one million dollars to 261 students or about 85% of the applicants. Among the 261 recipients, there is one 4th year medical student expected to graduate in May 2026 from a US medical school, and 1 dental student in the Philippines who will graduate in June 2027. PNSB provides supplemental financial assistance for Palauan citizens enrolled in fulltime degree-seeking college programs.
