“You can feel people’s frustrations with the traffic out there. This needs to be addressed immediately. ” the President said while tasking Bureau of Public Safety Acting Director Julio Ringang and CIP Director Brian Melairei to collaborate and combine efforts to address the matter.
Trial testing arrangements were made with traffic cones opening up the middle lane and other congested areas on the morning of December 13 and were successful in alleviating traffic congestion that day. “Compared to the first week of December, driving from Mindszenty High School to Palau High School took about 40 minutes, these changes as we observe, cut that time to about 25 minutes. We will continue to observe traffic flows and make changes accordingly to ensure reasonable traffic flows, says Director Melairei.”
Traffic conditions will be monitoring for further improvement and additional measures including the use of secondary roads to ease the movement of traffic are currently underway. (contributed) [/restrict]
