Jan. 18 – President Tommy E. Remengesau, Jr. today called for a stronger partnership and relationship with the Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Marshall Islands in addressing climate change and ocean related initiatives as well as other pressing national and regional matters during a breakfast meeting at The Capitol in Ngerulmud, Melekeok.

Welcoming FSM President Peter Christian, RMI Minister of Internal Affairs Amenta Matthew and their delegation ahead of the inauguration and installation ceremony of the 10th Constitutional Government, President Remengesau stated, “Palau’s continuous desire to work closely with our brothers and sisters in the Micronesian region is unwavering. As a region, we have a stronger and bigger voice in the political arena thus we must elevate our efforts to support one another in the regional level.”
