Office of the Attorney General has issued the draft regulations to implement Sex Offenders Registry law, under 17 PNC, Section 1703 (f).  The draft regulations are currently undergoing review under the Administrative Procedures Act.

The law mandating convicted sex offenders to register with law enforcement was enacted in 2014.  The law intended to make the information about convicted offenders public and allow law enforcement officers to track offenders and use the information during investigations.

The draft regulations set out the procedures for offenders to report to law enforcement and the procedures for the public release of information of covered sex offenders.

Under the Administrative Procedures Act, the public is allowed to comment on the draft regulations before they can be formally adopted.  Any comments or recommendations must be submitted within 30 days to the Office of the Attorney General or Ministry of State.  Draft regulations are available at Domestic Affairs.
