The Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC) welcomed one of its newest employees, Mr. Rodney Kazuma.  Mr. Kazuma joined PICRC as a Maintenance Technician under the Administration Department.

Hailing from the state of Ngatpang, Mr. Kazuma grew up in Palau, and attended high school in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), receiving his Certificate in Construction from the Pohnpei Agriculture and Trade School (PATS). He then went on to attend Palau Community College (PCC) and received his Associate of Arts Degree in Electrical Technology.

Mr. Kazuma brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his position at PICRC.  Prior to working at PICRC, Mr. Kazuma was a Maintenance Technician at PCC, working in electrical service and oversight of facilities and grounds. He first heard of PICRC when he was approached by Mr. John Wong, Head Engineer at PICRC when it first opened. However, it was not until years later when he saw an opening for a job that he applied and was finally able to work at the Center.

While at PICRC, Mr. Kazuma says that he hopes to learn more about the environment, especially the abundant marine life in Palau’s waters. PICRC would like to extend a warm welcome to Mr. Kazuma, and his future contributions to the Center.
