Since school year 2005, Late Former Speaker Tadao Ngotel began his private scholarship in hopes of helping Ngarchelong students achieve their goals of higher education. This is the 19th year of the Speaker Tadao Ngotel Scholarship which is one of the private scholarship programs administered by Palau National Scholarship Board. It is a one-time award of $500.00 to a student of Ngarchelong citizenship who has just graduated from high school and plans to enroll in college. A student must maintain a gpa of at least 3.0.
The Speaker Tadao Ngotel Scholarship for this school year 2023-2024 was awarded to Ms. Zanna R. Ise, a graduate from Mindszenty High School. She is now pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Nursing at St. Martin’s University in the state of Washington. She is the daughter of Mr. Jose Ise and Mrs. Lorenz Ise. The late Mr. Ngotel strongly supported higher education and his family plans to continue this scholarship for as long as they can.
