Palau Swimming Association announces activities for the month of July.
SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING IS BACK: An introduction to synchronized swimming is on for June 29 – 17 July (Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday) at 10-10:45 AM. This class is free of charge. Participants need to be at least 6 years old and able to easily swimone length of the pool (25 meters). Both boys and girls are encouraged to join. Synchronized Swimming (also called Artistic Swimming) is a lot of fun, great exercise and always a “show-stopper” at the Olympics and World Championships.
Learn-to-Swim: Learn-to-Swim for kids will be offered July 29-16 July (Mondays-Thursdays). Times vary according to skill level, but all sessions are late afternoon (2:30-5:00). Registration is first come, first served on Friday, June 26 from 4-5 PM at the pool.
Water Aerobics: Water aerobics for adults is offered Monday through Friday 5:15-6:15. Tuesdays and Thursdays the class is in the pool. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the class is in the ocean behind the pool. The class is free and open to anyone who is comfortable in the water. No specific swimming skills are needed. Shorts and T-shirts are acceptable attire.
Family Fun Swim: The pool is open 5-6:30 PM to the public for fun swim. (Children under the age of 14 and novice swimmers must be accompanied by an adult). Fees are $3 for adults and $1 for children 18 and under. Wednesday evenings feature a master’s coaching session for adult swimmers who want to improve their skills.

For PSA members (as of June 22) who plan to register their kids for next session of Learn to Swim, the time for registration is: 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm today (Thursday) at the pool.
