Taiwan Ambassador Wallace M.G. Chow donated a check of 1,000 US Dollars to Special Olympics Palau on Nov 25, 2020 in support of the efforts to host a 5K Walk/Run For Life on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities(IDPD) on December 3, 2020.
The December 3 event is organized by Special Olympics Palau and Palau National Olympic Committee with an aim to encourage more disabled athletes to get off the sidelines and into the game. IDPD is an important day for the disabled. Its goal is to promote the full and equal participation of person with disabilities and to take action for the inclusion of persons with disabilities in all aspects of society and development.
Special Olympics and Palau National Olympic Committee hope everyone can join the game and support the disabled people. The check-in time for the event is between 4:30 to 5:15pm at the National Track and Field on Dec 3. The race will starts at 5:30pm.
