Two Members Focus on Injury Care and Athlete Wellness
KOROR, Palau — Two medical volunteers from Taiwan arrived in Palau on June 25, 2025, to assist athletes competing in the upcoming Pacific Mini Games. Nurse Chien and physical therapist Jackson are members of Taiwan’s volunteer medical team.
Their mission is to provide medical support and physical therapy services for athletes throughout the games, focusing on injury prevention, recovery, and overall athlete wellness.
Jackson said he’s looking forward to the opportunity to help. “I don’t mind the weather—it’s the same temperature back in Taiwan,” he said. “We’re glad to be here and excited for the games. It’s a great chance to support the athletes and offer our expertise.”
The arrival of the team highlights the strong partnership between Palau and Taiwan in both health and sports. With athletes from across the Pacific expected to compete, organizers say the medical volunteers will play a key role in ensuring player safety and readiness during the high-stakes competitions.
