Koror, Palau – On Tuesday August 6, Vice President J.Uduch Sengebau Senior filed her nominating petition for re-election. Campaigning with the slogan BFF- Belau Family First, Senior is seeking a 2nd term in her current post as Palau’s Vice president.
On her way to file her petition, VP Uduch stopped by at the Old Age Center to visit the senior citizens and get their blessings before heading to submit her petition at Palau Election Commission.
In a talkshow interview Uduch stated “I believe public service is an opportunity for me to give back to the community the blessings that I have had in my life”. Referring to her Belau Family First campaign theme she further said “Protection, care and support for women, children and the men in our families is really what I want to focus and strengthen”.
There are only 2 candidates for the office of the Vice President. Senior will be contested by former Senate colleague and former Vice President Raynold Oilouch. The national election will be held on November 5th this year. (By: Eoghan Olkeriil Ngirudelsang)
