According to the recent update from the Ministry of Health, the 640 PCR tests conducted have all come out negative for COVID-19.
At this moment, health screenings are still being conducted at the Palau International Airport and the Malakal Sea Port.
Various donors have come forth to donate essential medical equipment for the COVID-19 response and the alternative sites are currently being prepared to receive as well as care for positive cases patients.
In the Ministry of Health’s directive, it stated that “the community at large has maintained practice of personal, social, and public health measures for the prevention of COVID-19 infection.”
It added that there will be a scaling down of community restrictions, however it emphasizes that preventative measures are still being maintained.
