Rebluud Kesolei, a former Deputy Chief of Staff of former President Tommy Remengesau Jr., passed away at his home in Ngesaol, Koror, on Sunday, June 25, 2023.

Known for his eloquence, ultra-calm personality, and a sharp mind, Mr. Kesolei served as former President Remengesau’s Deputy Chief of Staff and right-hand man for many years.

He was known as the “go-to-guy” during TR’s administration.  He would respond to requests and inquiries from anyone with patience and respect, regardless of the person’s position or the request posed.

Mr. Kesolei experienced a major stroke in 2017, survived, and recovered enough to return to his position as Deputy Chief of Staff until TR’s term in office ended in 2020.  He had obtained medical retirement and was enjoying his retirement until he passed this last Sunday.

He is survived by his wife, Joni Kesolei, his kids, and siblings.  (By: L.N. Reklai)
