“A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes.”                     -MARK TWAIN

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

Proverbs 31:30 NIV

I heard a woman translate the text into our tongue, ‘au-lengamch a melelolaok a cheldechedechal’.  I never knew “charm” as olengamch. But that’s what it is! Charm is the quality of being pleasing or appealing to the senses. It has nothing to do with the heart.

Fear of God in the text refers to a sense of awe, and submission to, a deity. It’s more like WOW than being AFRAID.  Although we should be afraid of an invisible GOD. This is where we can be deceived because of charming individual or individuals who snake their way into your life and deceive you, like a wolf dressed in sheep’s clothing. Sweet but deadly.

“Fear of God” is an absolute awe, reverence to an all knowing God. If he spoke and things came to existence nothing is impossible with Him.

I fear GOD because he is a Wild God. By faith I know He is everywhere. He knows all things. He is all powerful. He could kill me. But He also LOVE me with his everlasting love. Everything about him is everlasting and forever and ever. Heaven is eternal. Hell.is eternal. Don’t be deceived by conditions that make you feel you gave the power to determine your destiny.  You don’t. Its all about Jesus and him alone. We can easily be deceived.  Remember that even the Egyptian priests turned their staff to snakes just as Moses’s.

We have a very good God. He’s kind and patient. He is loving and forgiving.  He must love us more than we can ever fathom to have come to earth and suffered at the cross so we can have eternal life with him just for believing in Him. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.  WE ARE SAVED through faith in Christ.  His name is Jesus. ♡♡♡
