Jeremy Nakamura, Police Officer II, at the Division of Maritime Security at the Ministry of Justice has been accepted to JICA KCCP Training in Japan. The training course, Maritime Search and Rescue, Maritime Disaster Prevention and Marine Environment Protection, is geared for participants who recognize the issues and challenges in their organization including human resource development (HRD), based on the acquired knowledge and skills about maritime search and rescue (SAR), marine disaster prevention and marine environment protection. Participants of this training will create an action plan for their respective organization.
Other participating countries are Indonesia, Vietnam, Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Samoa, Tanzania, Djibouti and Madagascar. The training will be held from October 27 to December 6, 2025.
