On April 7, the government of the Republic of Palau hosted a handover ceremony of four patrol motocycles. Vice President J. Uduch Sengebau Senior, Ambassador Jessica Lee and Ismael Aguon, Director of Public Safety, gave remarks at the ceremony. Paramount Chief Reklai Rafael Ngirmang, Omtechei ra Ibedul Kldnguul ra Techemding Rechebei Udui, senator Kazuki Topps Sungino and delegateNoah Kamesong were present to witness the ceremony.

Ambassador Lee noted in her speech that on half of the government of the Republic of China(Taiwan ), she was delighted to gift the 4 motorcycles to the Bureau of Public Safety for patrol and surveillance missions on deterring crimes, maintaining social order, especially the community security during “Our Ocean Conference”. Taiwan and Palau have developed solid partnership on law enforcement, public security and social order. Taiwan is ready to help Palau.
The Vice President expressed the deepest gratitude of the Republic of Palau to the Republic of China (Taiwan) for the swift response to Palau’s request. She mentioned in her speech there are a lot cooperation between Taiwan and Palau on going after she took office as the Minister of Justice, including Taiwan’s donation of two coastal multi-purpose boats, cooperation on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters and on forensic pathologist.
Ambassador Lee handed the keys over to Director Aguon. Vice President, the senator and the delegate witnessed the presentation. After the ceremony, both the Vice President and Ambassador Lee had a try on the motorcycles.
