The National Emergency Management Office (NEMO) has issued yesterday a small craft advisory for Palau and prohibits small craft from travelling to Angaur State due to bad weather condition.
In a public announcement issued yesterday, July 9, NEMO had issued a “small craft warning” for Angaur and “strictly prohibited” the travel to the said state while water conditions and areas outside the reef remains relatively rough.
The remaining states in Palau are likewise placed under “Small Craft Advisory.”
NEMO cautioned sea-bound boaters to take precautionary measures and observe marine safety regulations.
“If you are travelling by boat to any destination and water conditions are too rough, do not proceed to these areas,” the NEMO announcement read.
