KOROR, PALAU – U.S. Marines from Combat Logistics Battalion 13, part of the 1st Marine Logistics Group, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy – Koror, announce an upcoming Vendor Day Event aimed at empowering and educating small business owners in Palau while providing an opportunity to speak with CLB-13’s contracting officers. Scheduled for 9 a.m. on July 24, 2024, at the Palau Royal Resort, this event seeks to encourage local businesses to engage in government contracting opportunities. It underscores efforts to broaden the vendor pool and enhance diversity within the supply chain.

“As contracting officers for the United States Marine Corps, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and dynamic supply chain,” stated Staff Sgt. Hanna Tilley, contracting officer with CLB-13 in support of exercise Koa Moana 24. “Vendor Day in Palau is designed to equip local small business owners with the necessary tools and knowledge to thrive in government contracting.”

The primary objective of Vendor Day is to bridge the gap between small businesses in Palau and lucrative government contracting opportunities. The event will feature an interactive Q&A session, allowing attendees to seek personalized guidance from contracting officers and subject matter experts. This open dialogue aims to address specific concerns and uncertainties of participating businesses.
